Volunteering: The potential and the way forward
This
is a 50 page report (in word format) produced by New
Zealander Darren Quirk, following the completion of
a Churchill Fellowship tour during 1998, that examined
international 'best practice' trends in the area of
corporate social responsibility.

Australia commissioned this report into the experience
of corporate volunteering, with input from co-ordinators
of volunteering programs from both corporate and not
for profit organisations. Hayley Hext, a Masters of
Community Management student at UTS, interviewed participants
and wrote the report.

by the NSW Premier's Department, the Employee Volunteering
Guide aims to be a practical resource for company
and not-for-profit organisations interested in employee

Virtual
Corporate Roundtable
During the International
Year of Volunteers (2001) in Australia, each month
was allocated a different theme. December's theme
was "Corporate Participation," and corporations
with volunteer programs were invited to sit on a IYV
Corporate Volunteers Virtual Roundtable in order to
share the work their company in regards to volunteer
involvement. The roundtable is archived on the website
of the National Library and offers many good examples
of corporate volunteering involvement in Australia.
