VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR

CARERS WA

(Part Time - 15 hrs pw)

Carers WA are a not for profit community based organisation dedicated to supporting family carers in WA and we are looking for a solid and experienced Volunteer Coordinator to coordinate our volunteer program.   Carers WA value their staff. We also offer generous salary packaging, 9% superannuation, 5 weeks annual leave & two wellness days.   Main duties and responsibilities

  • Management and allocation of volunteers to appropriate programs and functions
  • Monitoring and evaluation of volunteers performance
  • Liaise with program coordinators/managers regarding requirements for volunteer support
  • Recruitment and selection of volunteers in consultation with relevant staff where appropriate.
  • Induction and orientation of volunteers to Carers WA
  • Update and maintenance of Policies and Procedures Manual for volunteers
  • In collaboration with program staff, help to ensure coordination and retention of volunteers to their programs
  • In collaboration with program staff, develop, deliver and evaluate relevant volunteer training and support
  • Maintain a program of recognition for volunteers
  • Conduct appropriate background checks and obtain national police and Working With Children clearances for all volunteers.
