PHaMs (Personal Helper and Mentor) provides an outreach service to people aged 16 years and over whose ability to manage their daily activities and live independently in the community is impacted because of a severe functional limitation resulting from a mental illness. PALS (Partnership and Linking for People Experiencing Mental illness) is a metro wide service that supports individuals who experience a mental illness. The service recruits and matches community volunteers with people experiencing a mental illness to provide a social connection. PALS Program is an innovative and highly successful program which aims to improve the quality of life of people experiencing psychiatric illness through offering a range of services which are provided by volunteers. Volunteers provide recreation, social and group activities to people with a mental illness. Through the work of volunteers people are given an opportunity to participate in individual and/or group activities, which previously were not available, or were difficult to access. These include social and recreational activities.
Volunteer Services Coordinator is responsible for the recruitment, initial intake screening and ongoing review of volunteers who support service delivery in programs such as PALS and PHaMs. The position also involves aspects of service growth and development, plus effective data management, research and analysis. It also ensures effective liaison with the Mind Pals volunteer program and PHaMs managers. The position will assist in the support of staff located in programs who work with volunteers.

Are you looking to work with young people in a dynamic not-for-profit organisation? Lattitude is an international volunteering organisation for 17-25s.
Each year, we enable up to 600 young Australians to challenge themselves, develop their skills and contribute to communities in 15 different countries worldwide.
We are looking to recruit an experienced administrator, to join our small team in Fitzroy. Your role would be to help support young people looking to volunteer overseas and be the first point of contact for them, their parents and our supporters.
You should be motivated to work with young people, have strong admin and organisational skills, experience of maintaining systems and the ability to provide excellent customer service. This role is full time, but could be part time to suit the ideal candidate.
