Governance and Civic Affairs Unit Full-time (Job Reference Number S/02256)

The City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters is focused on providing high quality services and solutions to the community through an innovative approach. With offices located on The Parade in Norwood, the successful candidate will enjoy the cosmopolitan lifestyle which working in such an environment offers.   The Council is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and energetic individual with excellent communication and time management skills.

The successful candidate will have an ability to adapt to a variety of circumstances, and experience in volunteer coordination.  

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and promoting volunteering opportunities with the Council
  • Facilitating and coordinating the participation of Volunteers within the Council’s operations and in the delivery of services
  • Recruit, induct and deploy Volunteers to suitable placements.
  • Coordinating events and recognition programs for Volunteers
  • Maintain the database of Volunteers incorporating information necessary for the maintenance of Volunteers’ records.
  • Co-ordinate and prepare appropriate promotional material regarding volunteering opportunities and achievements
  • Coordination, development and implementation of training programs for all Volunteers.
