Cancer Council Queensland is the State’s leading independent organisation in cancer control and it is dedicated to creating a cancer free future. Volunteers play an important part in our mission by providing cancer-related information, support services and education programs throughout Queensland and help implement our fundraising campaigns in their local areas.
We are seeking a professional and self motivated person to take the lead on managing our volunteer services, ensuring our policies and strategies are in-line with best practice volunteer management. You will also develop corporate and community relationships to further enhance volunteering programs. In consultation with stakeholders, you will develop volunteer programs and strategies to source, develop, train and retain quality volunteers and seek ways to build the capacity of our staff, branches, volunteers and supporters to contribute to cancer control. To be successful, you must have qualifications in volunteer management, human resources management or a related discipline and demonstrated experience in volunteer management. Your knowledge, experience and advanced leadership and people management skills along excellent communication and interpersonal skills and advanced problem solving skills will see you succeed in this integral role.
