LinkAGE VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

P/T (16 -18hrs/wk)
The LinkAGE Program is seeking an enthusiastic individual to assist the Program Manager in volunteer management.
LinkAGE is run by the Mater Hospital as a valuable volunteer community service. The volunteers provide companionship to socially isolated residents in aged care facilities in the Sydney area.
The successful applicant will assist in providing training and support for the volunteers in the program, recruiting and training new volunteers, arranging their placement and liaising with participating aged care facilities.
Essential:
•Qualifications in Psychology, Social/Health Sciences or other relevant qualifications;
•Commitment to the welfare of frail older people;
•Team management and leadership skills;
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
•Experience in training;
•Basic computer skills.
Desirable:
•Experience in co-ordinating volunteers;
•Knowledge and ability to liaise effectively with aged care facilities;
•Public relations and promotion skills.
