Penrith
Disability Resource Centre (PDRC) provides information,
referral and advocacy to people with disabilities
in the Penrith area. The Co-ordinator supports a team
of volunteer Information Officers, provides advocacy
in complex cases, and manages all admin issues – funding,
publicity, training etc.
Applications
are invited from people with (Essential): Tertiary
qualifications (preferably in Social Science) or equivalent
experience; staff management and training experience;
sound knowledge of the community service system; experience
in advocacy; an understanding of the needs of people
with disabilities; computer literacy (word, excel);
driver’s license and reliable insured vehicle.
(Preferred):
Knowledge of the NSW Disability Service Standards;
understanding of information systems; OH&S training;
knowledge of Nepean Area community services.
We
are looking for someone offering leadership and vision
for this organisation.
