in volunteerism.
Founded
in 2002 by Andy
Fryar, OzVPM focuses on volunteerism,
primarily as it relates to the Australasian region,
but we are also proud to work regularly with leaders
of the international volunteering community
OzVPM,
is always looking for new and innovative ways to assist
the Australasian voluntary sector and we currently
do this by:
- Utilising our contacts
and partnerships
to bring our web site visitors the latest news,
volunteerism reports and ‘hot’ web sites
from around the world
- Facilitating and moderating
the OzVPM newsgroup
- the Australasian region's largest on-line volunteer
management community
- The development of OzVPM
information sheets that discuss specific and topical
aspects of volunteerism
- The provision of a monthly
‘Australasian
Hot Topics’ column which encourages
and invites debate on the latest issues in volunteering
- Operating the Australasian
region's most comprehensive specialist volunteerism
bookstore

The mission of OzVPM
is to support leaders of volunteers and increase the
profile of volunteerism, particularly as it relates
to the Australasian region.
In
other words, if you manage a volunteer program of
any size, shape or interest group – we can help!
OzVPM is able to bring
to the Australasian region a wide variety of resources
and up-to-date information from around the world,
through our partnership with a number of key volunteerism
agencies across the globe.
Our
three key partnerships are with:
- Energize
- a Philadelphia based international
training, consulting and publishing firm specialising
in volunteerism. Led by President and leading volunteerism
expert Susan J Ellis, Energize enables OzVPM to
bring up to date global information and links to
our website
- People
First Total Solutions - is a Melbourne
based company led by Martin J Cowling. Martin and
OzVPM Director Andy Fryar have partnered on many
things over the years, including the co-hosting
of the annual Australasian Retreat for Advanced
Volunteer Management
- Volunteer˛
- is a Canadian company specialising in volunteer
management software. OzVPM have a partnership arrangement
with Volunteer˛ to bring quality VM software options
to the AUstralasian region
